Faculty Associates (FAs) are faculty members, who are paired with a specific community, and engage with the residents of that community. Unlike the Faculty Fellows (FFs), the FAs do not live in the building, but come and visit the community as often as they want. FAs are expected to build positive relationships with the community, and collaborate with Resident Advisors (RAs) to provide programming. The goal is to help residents feel more comfortable with faculty outside of the classroom to strengthen the resident’s connection to the university academically.
