WGE

Danforth (all first-year students), Shepley and Wheeler (upperclass suites) Houses make up the William Greenleaf Eliot Residential College. The WGE staff currently consists of 14 RAs, and 1 Graduate Fellow who work with a live-in faculty fellow, sponsor hall- and college-wide programs, and participate in a wide array of activities ranging from IM sports to community service. WGE also provides additional academic support to students through our Residential Peer Mentors (RPMs) who mentor students in the areas of calculus, physics, chemistry and writing. Danforth 2 is a substance-free floor where residents agree to live a substance-free lifestyle – that is, no tobacco, alcohol or other drugs within the community. RAs also have access to exceptional spaces (floor lounges, computer lab, study spaces, seminar and classrooms, and a library) that are designed to promote and support academic success and build community within the residential college. Danforth RAs also have the opportunity to work with Faculty Associates. College traditions include the WGE-Q, The Amazing Race, WGE Art Show, Casino Night, Friends with Benefits Dance and a wide-range of programs that highlight faculty from the Danforth Campus.
