Lee and Beaumont residence halls form a residential community comprised of all first-year students. This residential college community has one floor that is a substance-free community while the other floors are traditional. All residents who choose to live in the substance-free communities are required to sign a contract in which they agree to abstain from using tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs within the community. The Lee and Beaumont RAs are deliberate when planning events for their first-year community and they will engage their residents and community in areas of diversity, self awareness, interpersonal skills, citizenship, social wellness, as well as transitional needs for their residents. Incoming students will have the opportunity to join and be part of the Lee/Beaumont College Council. Through collaboration the council members facilitate fun activities and events for the residential college. Previous programs include attending musicals at the Fox Theatre, Laser Tag, St. Louis sporting events, attending WashU athletic home games, intramural sports, great study breaks filled with food, just to name a few! The RAs and College Council have put on numerous celebrations which honors the spirit of this residential college, they have included events like BLeeBQ, BeauHaus, MyTie Semi Formal, Lee/Beau Week and a Day, Ridiculous Olympics, and much more! Lee/Beaumont Residential College also has seven wonderful Faculty Associates along with various campus partners to help serve as a resource and help the residents with their transition at WashU. |
