Welcome to Residential Life!

It is our goal to make your residential life experience the best experience possible, and the most rewarding for your future.

Live. Learn. Lead.

Our guiding principles are designed to develop residents through learning and engagement opportunities while providing a sense of belonging and support.

Community Engagement

Community is at the core of what we do and can be seen through our Neighborhood C.A.R.E. initiatives and Community Engagement Model within our residential areas.

Residential Communities Resize

Our program consists of the South 40 and the North Side, where over 4500 students call Residential Life home during the academic year.

Policies and Procedures

Wondering where to park your bike on campus? Need to know where to go when you’re locked out of your room? Stay up to date on our Residential Life Policies and Procedures!

Questions and Forms

Our Online Forms range from Maintenance Requests, to Party and Guest Registrations. Even if you have a general question about Residential Life, please fill out a contact form and we will be sure to answer in a timely manner.

North Side

North Side ResizeMany of our upperclass students live on the North Side, which consists of residential communities on the Northwest corner of the Danforth Campus and in our neighborhoods near campus. Each of which provides a variety of programs and amenities for students to enjoy.

South Forty

Clocktower3Nicknamed “The Forty” because it is forty acres located directly south of the Danforth Campus, this space is home to about 3200 residents in twenty-four residence halls, as well as recreational space, computer clusters, campus eateries, and much, much more. “The Forty” is a place to study, sleep, eat, relax, and form new friendships.
